Okay, it’s doesn’t really look anything like tiny – it’s 15.4″W x 13.5″D x 10.4″H bulk is still, well, bulky – but believe you me, it’s the smallest desktop color laser printer in the whole wide world. And what it really offers is not just its relatively tiny size compared to the other big boxes in its class, but affordable color laser printing.
Color laser printing used to be very expensive, but with the CLP-300 consumers can now print affordably, with cost comparable to that of Inkjet printing. Even students can now print with color laser. Heck, even your tiny tot can now print out his virtual crayon colorings by laser with gusto.
Samsung said the CLP-300 printer offers print speeds of up to 17-ppm in black and white, and 4-ppm in color. The unit also boasts a competitive 24,200 pages per month duty cycle.
The CLP-300 sells for $299. The CLP-300N, which adds a built-in 10/100 Base TX network card, has a $349 price tag.
