Fujifilm USA has a new president, Mr. Ryutaro Hosoda, who has been named to the post effective November 1, 2008. Hosoda-san, whose previous post was Senior Vice President, FUJIFILM Europe GmbH in Düsseldorf, Germany, has been officially named President, FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation and President and CEO, FUJIFILM U.S.A.
He succeeds Hiro Sakai, who has been named General Manager of the company’s Imaging Business Division, based in Tokyo. Mr. Sakai, who is also a Corporate Vice President, is responsible for the Fujifilm’s worldwide photo imaging business operations including film, and analog and digital photoprocessing solutions and services.
As President of FUJIFILM Holdings America, Mr. Hosoda is responsible for enhancing Fujifilm consolidated management across the thirteen Fujifilm companies that operate within the United States. As President and CEO of FUJIFILM U.S.A., Mr. Hosoda oversees the company’s photographic imaging systems and services operations.
