Rumor: Is Canon EOS 3D Just Around the Corner?

The 13.3-megapixel Canon EOS 3D DSLR may soon appear just in time for Photokina 2006 (that’s about 3 weeks away), if we go by the rumor mill.

A leaked document over at www.camera-news.com says this EOS 3D will feature a high performance AF system with 27 AF points, comparable or even better than the 1D series. This new camera is said to have 50-3200 ISO settings with an expanded option of ISO 25-6400.

But the real news here – if the rumor turns out to be real news – is that the 13.3MP APS-H sized image sensor is run by the new DIGIC III engine, that produces an impressive burst rate of 6fps for 18 shots in RAW and 40 in jpg.
