Rololight Rolls Out Softbox 2Go Lighting System

Rololight Softbox 2Go Lighting System

The new SOFTBOX 2GO from Rololight touts a lighter and quicker setup than the company’s more advanced ProKit lighting system and is priced more affordably at $500 (launch price: $400, ends May 15).

Rololight says the patented design of SOFTBOX 2GO produces soft and almost shadowless light and is perfect for very tight spots such as inside cars, planes or behind bookshelves. Another cool feature is that the light emits virtually no heat which allows subjects and even children to hold the light strips in their own hands up close, the company adds.

You can hang it on a wall, from the ceiling or on a tripod, divide them up and hide them behind a window to recreate daylight. There’s an assortment of sizes to choose from and you can connect as many lights as you want together. Lights have a life of up to 20,000 hours and multiple lighting units can be plugged into one single electrical outlet. It can even be plugged into battery or car lighter using a standard inverter.
