News agency Reuters has posted its Pictures of the Year 2008 gallery on its website, featuring 135 images from its photographers worldwide.
It offers the viewer a look back at the year’s most significant events, an instant replay of memorable images ranging from the floodwaters brought on by Hurricane Gustav in Louisiana to the election campaigns in the US, from Michael Phelps’ Olympic victory to NY Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s disgrace, from the bombardment of Gori, T’bilisi to the most recent terror attacks in Mumbai, India.
