Polaroid is Dead; Long Live Polaroid!

Polaroid Camera

Polaroid sort of died in June of 2008 when it stopped production of its analog Instant Film. Today, about a dozen guys have teamed up with the express goal of re-starting production of analog Integral Film for vintage Polaroid cameras by 2010.

They call it The Impossible Project. Given their expertise, plus: they have acquired Polaroid’s old equipment and factory, that project now looks very possible.

They just want a little encouragement from the public, and that means you. If Polaroid means something to you, they urge you to sign up at their website to “support us re-invent integral film for vintage Polaroid cameras.”
