The Philippine Marketing Association has released the list of winners of the “DIMA 2007 Innovative Digital Product Awardsâ€. DIMA, or Digital Imaging Marketing Association is a PMA member association.
DIMA chose 18 from the hundreds of digital products on display at the recent PMA 2007 to receive the awards. DIMA Innovative Digital Product Awards recognize products or services utilizing new technologies and applications that make the product either distinct or the first of its kind.
Judging by the 18 products it deemed innovative, it appears that DIMA chose well, unlike other trade “awards†where everyone who fills out a form and pays a fee gets an award, making certain journalists leery of so-called awards.
Among the DIMA awardees are: Argraph Corporation’s Zigview S2 real-time viewfinder for DSLRs, Epson Stylus 1400 Photo Printer, Fujifilm IS-1 infra-red camera, HP Designjet Z photo printer series, Joby’s Gorillapod flexible tripod, Lensbaby 3G selective focus SLR lens, Olympus SP-550 UZ Ultra Zoom digital camera and many others. They should have also chosen the new Kodak photo printers and inks for their innovative pricing.
