Very well, my boy, now that you finally have your own DSLR, know that there are a few inconveniences ahead that you have to deal with. Among those are lenses. Yeah, lenses like this one from Sigma: the APO 200-500mm F2.8 EX DG, an ultra-telephoto lens that gives you a fast aperture of f/2.8 over the entire zoom range and covers the widely used 200 to 500mm focal length.

This Sigma lens has 4 SLD (special low dispersion) glass elements that promise to provide excellent correction for all types of optical aberrations. A filter can be inserted towards the rear of the lens, and a circular polarizing filter can be used with its ingenious rotation mechanism.

A dedicated APO Tele Converter 2x EX DG II is supplied as a standard accessory with the APO 200-500mm F2.8 EX DG, so the lens converts to a large aperture 400-1000mm F5.6 AF Ultra-Telephoto Zoom lens.

Need help with that? This is how you use it (see photo below). And oh, the photo above? Sigma thoughtfully notes in its press release that the camera is sold separately. Yes, that is a camera at the rear end of the humungous lens.
