PMA 2007: Kodak Releases New EasyShare Cameras

Kodak EasyShare Z712 12X Zoom Digital Camera

Headlining the new releases by Kodak at PMA 2007 is its high-zoom EasyShare Z712 IS ($300) digital camera, photo above, featuring 12x optical zoom and high ISO sensitivity. The IS in its name stands for image stabilization, which is implemented with a combination of optical and mechanical methods.

Also debuting with the Z712 is the Z885 ($200) with 5x zoom and 8.1 megapixels. Boasting high ISO (up to 8000!), it is supposed to tackle low-light environments and action situations with ease.

Two more cameras were also announced by Kodak, the 6.2MP C613 ($120) in a stylish and compact body and the 7MP C763 ($180).

In addition, the company announced its Kodak EasyShare G610 Printer Dock ($130), a photo printer that can output waterproof and stain-resistant prints. Users can simply dock their digital camera on the printer and wait 60 seconds for a real Kodak print. Using Kodak XtraLife Lamination, photos can last a lifetime under typical home display conditions.
