Photoshop Scripts and How to Write Them

Photoshop Scripts

Scripts in Photoshop are very powerful snippets of code that take care of repetitive tasks in image editing. It’s like Actions, only more powerful. And geeks love it.

Beginners should not shun it, though. Scripting is as easy as HTML; you can start with templates or learn from someone else’s code.

Last Friday, at Photoshop World in Las Vegas, a very popular 4-hour session was held to teach Photoshop scripting. They printed 150 copies but it was not enough, so they posted it online.

The free downloadable materials include sample scripts from the basic to the more advanced.

If you find yourself doing repetitive tasks in Photoshop and you find you need more than Actions, go scripting. Learn from the geeks at Tranberry.com or start here.
