Did you know that photojournalist Harry Benson uses only the Canon EOS-1D Mark II for the past couple of years? He has used everything of course from a 4 x 5 plate camera to Rolleiflex, Minolta, Nikon and Hasselblad, but the Canon Mark II “has been an amazing change for me. I have a new freedom and don’t have to set up lights and still the photographs are perfectly exposed,” he says.

Benson shares his personal thoughts and memorable moments in history on Kingston Technology’s ‘Icons of Photography’ website.

He was standing next to Bobby Kennedy when the senator was shot, and he said he had to steel himself to be able to document that horrifying moment. “The camera acted as blinders and I just kept shooting,” he recalls.
