Photo Backup 2.6.0 Archives Photos Independent of Photo Organizing and Editing

Photo Backup 2.6.0

Whatever photo editing software you use and however you organize your photos, Photo Backup 2.6.0 creates archives of all your photos so everything is there when you need it. This is particularly useful to photographers who have thousands of pictures but do not backup regularly.

Photo Backup does true incremental archiving of all your photos and saves them to multi-session DVDs. Whenever you download photos from your cameras it saves them automatically and it maintains independent archives for different photo collections.

Photo Backup 2.6.0 does ‘backup by contents,’ making archives completely independent of photo cataloging, organizing and editing. Unlike other photo backup applications, Photo Backup calculates a unique signature for each photo based on its contents.

This signature is saved and later used to compare photos. It guarantees that whenever a photo is edited, it will be archived again. You’ll have access to all photo revisions and be able to see their different thumbnails.

Photo Backup is especially designed to handle large numbers of photos, spanning many DVDs. It works incrementally. When it locates new photos, it burns them to a multi-session DVD until a DVD is filled up.

When you need to retrieve a photo from the archive, you can look it up according to its date, folder or name. Photo Backup will fetch it from the DVD it’s stored on, and place the photo back on the hard drive.
