Pentax K10D DSLR

Camera sales for its digital SLRs like the K100D and K110D boosted Pentax’s net income for the first half of 2006. Pentax net income for the six months ending in September was 1.09 billion yen ($9.3 million), exceeding its 900 million yen forecast by 21%.

The positive news on Pentax’s net income comes in the heels of an Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering award for the still to be released Pentax K10D.

The 10MP K10D was scheduled to go on sale starting this month, but was postponed for December due to a shortage of image sensors.
