Pentax 15mm F4 ED AL Limited Prime Lens Falls Short

Pentax smc DA 15mm F4 ED AL Limited Prime Lens

The Pentax smc DA 15mm F4 ED AL Limited wide angle prime lens gets reviewed at DPReview.com, where it gets an 8.2 out of 10 points and a rating of Recommended.

“Ultimately when compared to the alternatives, the 15mm F4 falls just short of offering enough of the expected advantages of a prime (smaller, faster, sharper, and cheaper) to earn our highest recommendation,” writes reviewer Andy Westlake.

This Pentax 15mm F4 lens earned points for its compact, lightweight and high quality aluminum construction as well as for its quick-shift manual focus but was judged to be rather soft at the F4-F5.6 aperture range.
