Panasonic Issues Firmware 1.1 for 3 Compact Camera Models

Panasonic DMC-FT1 Digital Camera

Panasonic has released firmware updates for three of its compact camera models – the FT1/TS1, TZ6/ZS1 and TZ7/ZS3 (why they still have to name their cameras differently for other countries in this very global market is quite puzzling).

Firmware 1.1 for the FT1 and the T27 makes the cameras capable of playing back AVCHD motion picture format (1,280 x 720) taken with Panasonic Digital Camera DMC-GH1. For the TZ6, it reduces noise – the sound of aufocusing – during action. For all 3 compacts, the firmware update is said to improve the viewing of still image on its LCD.
