Panasonic announces a new line of SD High Capacity (SDHC) memory cards – in 6GB and 12GB storage capacities, which the company says are ideal for video recording with High Definition (HD) camcorders. Of course, you can use it for still photography if you need that much capacity! You will certainly do if you shoot in Raw.
For video recording, you can shoot 3 hours worth of 1080p HD movie with the 12GB card, or 90 minutes if you use 6GB. Both cards, RP-SDM06G (6GB) and RP-SDM12G (12GB) record with Class 4 specification.
The new Panasonic SDHC Memory Cards are designed to be resistant to bending and twisting, protecting important data stored on the card. Also, since the cards employ industrial-grade flash memory, they are extremely reliable even under severe temperature conditions. They can function in temperatures ranging from -13°F – 185°F, according to Panasonic.
