Panasonic says their newest – and largest capacity – SDHC memory card will be available in April. The 32GB Class 6 card will cost about $700 (they have a Class 4 card with the same capacity which will sell for half that price at $350, also coming out in April).
Class 6 means the Panasonic 32GB card can record data at up to 20MBps, if you really need that speed for HD video recording. The Class 4 version is not bad at all, either; its 15MBps speed is capable of recording tons of photos with even the fastest DSLR.
Panasonic’s Pro High Speed line-up also includes other Class 6 SDHC cards in capacities of 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB so you have a choice of either going with one card with a large capacity or having multiple cards in smaller capacities. Hey, some photographers agonize over that choice.
