Oregon Scientific’s ATC5K shockproof video cam is designed to be mounted on helmets or bicycles to capture those adventure moments from a first-person perspective, and is marketed towards the sports-loving outdoor types.
This camera records at 640×480 pixels at 30fps, good enough for playback on most TV displays; its own LCD is a tiny 1.5-inch color screen. It has 32MB of internal memory, which is not much, but it has an SD memory card slot that supports up to 4GB capacity. It runs on size AA penlight batteries.
The ATC5K will sell for about $200 in August.
