Olympus has announced a new digital telephoto lens for the Four-Thirds system digital SLR cameras.
At 220g, the ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm F4.0–5.6 is the smallest and lightest of its class, according to Olympus. It also offers the shortest minimum shooting distance at 90cm. Its zoom range is equivalent to 80–300mm on a 35mm camera.
It uses ED and high refractive index glass elements to minimize chromatic aberration, coma flare, and image curvature.
The new Olympus zoom lens will be available starting November 23.
