Olympus has updated the firmware for its flagship E-3 DSLR. Version 1.4 was released to improve the autofocus (AF) performance of the Olympus E-3.

It also incorporates previous enhancements of earlier firmware releases such as improved AF accuracy with large aperture (f2.8) lenses, consistency of auto white balance, image stabilization even with non-Four Thirds lenses and many other improvements.

The E-3 firmware can be updated using Olympus Master or Studio software.
