Olympus PEN Gets CES 2010 Innovations Honor

Olympus E-P1 Micro Four Thirds Camera

The International CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Awards has named the Olympus PEN E-P1 digital camera as one of their honorees. Olympus was cited for the “world’s smallest 12.3-megapixel interchangeable lens system camera which blends the high-quality images of a DSLR with HD video, stereo Linear PCM audio recording and In-Camera Creativity within an ultra-portable body.”

“We are honored that the digital PEN has been named a CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Award Honoree,” said John Knaur, senior marketing manager, Digital SLR, Olympus Imaging America Inc. “The E-P1’s beautiful retro design pays homage to the original PEN cameras of 1959 and the later PEN F cameras,” he said.

Last week, Olympus announced the PEN E-P2 which adds a port where you can plug a new high resolution electronic viewfinder or an external microphone, two new Art filters, AF tracking and a new i-Enhance color booster.
