Olympus Europe has released Volume 5 of its Olympus Digital Library answering frequently asked questions on digital photography.
The PDF handbook goes into the nitty-gritty of digital photography to make new users understand how digital cameras work and enable them to take digital photos by understanding such terms as metering systems, exposure, focus, white balance, sensitivity, pixel mapping, noise reduction, image stabilization, and many others.
It’s quite a substantial work (164 pages), and besides making you familiar with the features of today’s crop of digital cameras, the handbook also discusses how to print digital images, archiving, compressing, and editing photos. There’s even a glossary of digital photography jargon at the end so you may talk the talk even if you’re only beginning to walk the walk.
