Olympus E-510 as Best Consumer Camera EISA Awards 2007-2008

The Olympus E-510 digital SLR camera has garnered the “European Consumer Camera 2007-2008” Award from the European Imaging and Sound Association.

In its citation, EISA said “The Olympus E-510 is a digital SLR with excellent image quality and some clear advantages over the rest of the market.” The trade group also cited the camera’s handling as another winning feature, with its compact and light design but with a large handgrip that is comfortable to hold.

The E-510, which is based on the Four Thirds System, boasts Live View capabilities for optimal framing of compositions. It also features a built-in image stabilizer that ensures shots come out blur-free – no matter which lens is being used. Like all cameras from the Olympus E-System, the professionally-designed 10-megapixel E-510 also incorporates a Supersonic Wave Filter to provide protection against the effects of dust.

EISA is comprised of around 50 prominent magazines in the areas of audio, video, home theatre, mobile electronics and photography from 20 European countries. Each year it honors the best newly-released products in recognition of their features, quality and general appeal to users.
