If you’re looking to buy an entry-level digital SLR today you have a few good choices: Nikon’s D40 & D40x, Canon’s Rebel XTi and Pentax’s K100D. And don’t forget the older models that broke ground for DSLRs: Nikon D70 and D70s and Canon EOS 350D (Rebel XT) which can now be had at bargain prices, making them very good cameras for the money.
Joining these low-priced DSLRs is the Olympus E-410 which today also offered a £50 ($100) and a price drop, according to a press release issued by the company.
“Not only has the award winning Olympus E-410 has (sic) been reduced in price but now you can claim a £50 cash back when you buy this superb Olympus digital SLR,†the announcement said, making us understand that the total price reduction will be £100, that’s a substantial $200 reduction.
Oly says that to take advantage of the offer, you may pick up a leaflet in the store or complete the online form at www.olympus.co.uk/cashback. But we have to warn you though, this link only takes you to the Olympus home page, and searching for cashback in their website is a disappointing exercise in futility.
What gives, Olympus?
