Olympus µ 1020 Skin by Artist Apostolescu

Olympus Europa is ‘artsifying’ its µ (mu, say new with an m) 1020 digital camera, that’s the Olympus Stylus 1020 in the U.S.

The Limited Edition of the µ 1020 is now decked in colors by Bucharest-born artist Matei Apostolescu. “With photography being an exciting art form in its own right and a major component of today’s digital art, I was fascinated by the idea of designing pieces where the ‘canvas’ would ultimately be an instrument that can be used to create art itself,” says he.

There will only be 5,000 colorful µ 1020s in the market and there are 3 skins to choose from. They are available now.

The Olympus µ 1020 features 10.1 megapixels, 7x zoom, 2.7-inch LCD screen, dual image stabilization, face detection and 23 scene modes among others.
