Obama: The Big Picture by The Boston Globe

Barack Obama

Americans made a monumental choice last week when they elected Senator Barack Obama to be their 44th president, breaking a historic barrier that has been there since the Union began. Obama becomes the first African-American to hold the highest office in the Unites States and the most powerful post in the world.

This historical event has been documented and continue to be documented by media of all types – newspapers, magazines, television and radio networks, bloggers and of course, photographers.

There is one excellent coverage of this event: The Big Picture by The Boston Globe, a gallery of photographs that heralded the rise of Senator Obama, all 990 pixels wide, the better for viewers to take in the big picture unfolding in their history (Thanks, Rob Galbraith).
