Nikon D60 DSLR is “Enhanced” for Eye-Fi Wireless SD Card

Nikon D60 DSLR with Eye-Fi 2GB Wireless SD Card

There’s one little detail that came out today from Eye-Fi regarding the just announced Nikon D60 digital SLR camera. It looked like Eye-Fi went to a quiet corner with Nikon before it announced the D60 and both agreed that the new camera should be optimized for the Eye-Fi wireless memory card, why not?

As soon as the Eye-Fi wireless 2GB SD card is inserted into the D60, the camera launches into a song and dance and tingles all over – indicating that it recognizes the wireless card – and appropriately adjusts its power timer settings to upload photos to a computer or the Internet.

Of course, Eye-Fi will do that with all other digital cameras, are you kidding? It’s just that, out-of-the-box, the D60 experience with an Eye-Fi wireless SD card is improved, according to the song-and-dance from the Eye-Fi PR department.

As part of the collaboration, Eye-Fi will also add Nikon’s
“my Picturetown” online photography community to its Eye-Fi Service as a photo sharing option for users.

To make it really more appealing to prospective buyers of the D60, Eye-Fi is including the wireless card for free (joke, joke joke…just a thought).
