DIWA Platinum Award 2006 for Nikon D200

The Digital Imaging Websites Association has chosen the Nikon D200 DSLR as “Best System Camera” for its Platinum DIWA Award 2006. DIWA cited the 10-megapixel D200 for its build quality, performance and price.

How do they choose their winners? DIWA says their members from Europe and North America continuously test and review digital imaging products, scrutinizing more than 200 details, checking, testing and evaluating them one by one.

Each review is then carefully monitored and compared by the association to ensure error-free, reliable and comprehensive test results, DIWA says.

Then, each year, all gold winners from the previous year are re-evaluated by the 10 member websites of the DIWA organization. The very best from each of the three digital camera categories are honored with a DIWA Platinum Award.

So, there. The Nikon D200 gets it. And I agree.
