New USB Rechargeable Battery

Moixa Energy USBCELL

It’s an entirely new concept: penlight batteries that charge directly from your USB port, no need for any recharging cradle or device. The positive end of the battery pops open to expose a USB connector; when closed, it looks and can be used just like any 1.5V penlight battery.

It is made by Moixa Energy, a manufacturer of renewable and portable energy devices. Although it is currently available only in AA size, Moixa said the USBCELL will shortly comprise a full range of standard formats, phone and camera batteries.
