New Mexico Photography Field School Holds Workshop July 8-14 in Santa Fe

New Mexico Photography Field School

The New Mexico Photography Field School will hold a photo workshop in Santa Fe on July 8-14, 2007.

Titled “Ranchers, Ramblers & Renegades: Portraits of the Old West,” the workshop will focus on environmental portraiture. It will teach participants how to make great images utilizing the quality and direction of natural light. Reflectors and translucent panels will be used to give participants the experience in using those photographic aids to enhance their photography.

During the workshop, participants will be photographing real-life ranchers, ramblers, horse trainers and cattle raisers – the real deal, not models pretending to be cowboys. They will also have the opportunity to photograph a historic adobe hacienda, cowgirls, desert and mountain landscapes, and a Native American powwow.

The Field School is sponsored by Bogen Imaging and Lowepro. Canon USA also has made available EOS digital cameras for students to try out. Workshop fee is $1,295.
