More Tips on Building Up a Microstock Portfolio

Professional photographers know that they can take a photo of the Eiffel Tower in Paris at any time of the day and be able to upload it in their portfolio.

What is not known generally is that you can’t take a portfolio photo of the Eiffer Tower with the lights on at night because it is protected from commercial use without a special license.

This is among the tips shared by Rasmus Rasmussen in his post about building your microstock portfolio.

He says you don’t have to shoot people exclusively; architectural photos, landscapes and still life are just as great and just as saleable. But watch out for copyrighted logos, many edifices have commercial logos on them that might be protected.
