Leica Firmware v1.176 Available for Leica M9, M9-P

Leica has released Firmware update Version 1.176 that eliminates a rare fault occurring during the formatting of SanDisk cards, ensuring compatibility with the Leica M9 and M9-P in accordance with the cameras’ respective standards.

Leica said all card types available from SanDisk have been fully tested by the company’s expert technical team and firmware version 1.176 guarantees their proper function, resulting in the previous constrictions on the cards being revoked, as previously reported here.

The Leica M9 and M9-P are billed as the world’s smallest, full-frame digital system cameras with very high price tags. This little problem with SanDisk cards should be no problem at all.
