Leica Firmware 2.002 Update for M8, M8.2 Rangefinders

Leica M8 Digital Rangefinder Camera

Firmware 2.002 for the Leica M8 and M8.2 digital rangefinder camera is now available, enhancing its performance for new M lenses and fixing a few bugs.

The updated firmware adds the capability to detect 6-bit coding for the Leica Summilux-M 21mm/f1.4, 24mm/f1.4 and ELMAR-M 24mm/f3.8 aspherical lenses.

It also fixes an unintended “black image” problem with the Leica, as well as corrects some setting in Auto ISO mode, the display of the fastest sync speed and image numbering.
