LaCie 526 Monitor Offers Support For 95% AdobeRGB

LaCie 526 Monitor

LaCie has announced its LaCie 526 LCD monitor, a 26-inch high definition wide-gamut LCD monitor “optimized for accurate color for pro-level digital photography applications”.

The LaCie 526 is said to support 95% AdobeRGB and 98.5% ISO-coated color space when properly calibrated. It has its uses in digital photography, prepress, CAD, video editing and creative design.

The new monitor employs a 25.5-inch H-IPS panel with 1920×1200 resolution, enough for displaying two A4 pages at full size, with room to spare for toolbars and palettes. The monitor includes a hood to block ambient light.

LaCie said the 526 monitor is individually measured and corrected at the factory to achieve panel uniformity. The included software allows for hardware calibration in a single click, without further user involvement, according to the company.

The LaCie 526 monitor will be available by the end of this month at $2000 MSRP.
