Kingston has finally decided on the price tag for its Data Traveler Secure Privacy Edition USB stick, so instead of coming out in January as scheduled, it is now immediately available. The prices: $59 (512MB), $87 (1GB), $157 (2GB) and $334 (4GB); not as eye-gouging as feared, but still on the high side.
Kingston says this USB flash drive provides 100% security via its 256-bit hardware-based AES encryption, ensuring fail-safe security best practices.
Its titanium-coated stainless steel casing is tough and waterproof; even if your dog Snoopy chews on it because it looks like a chewing gum stick, you worry about Snoopy’s teeth, not the USB stick.
