JOBO Spectator: Ugly But Useful

JOBO Spectator Digital Photo Viewer

It definitely will not win beauty contests any time soon, but being pretty might have been farthest from the minds of its designers when they made the Jobo Spectator, a mobile storage device for digital images.

They focused instead on the device’s main job as a digital photo keeper and viewer. The new Jobo Spectator features a vivid high resolution 2.5-inch TFT Color LCD display with a 16 million color spectrum. It also features built-in card slots supporting all – yes, all – popular memory cards.

The Spectator’s integrated auto-verify function provides added security and gives users assurance that the copy process was successful from memory card to hard drive storage, very important for the insecure types.

The company is displaying the Jobo Spectator at next week’s PMA 2007. We hear that it will have three different storage capabilities – 40GB, 80GB and 120GB and retail price is expected to be $249, $299 and $379 respectively.
