Now, why would I want to use the iWay SD card adapter to upload photos to the iPod? Because I already have an iPod, is why, and I don’t have those dedicated photo storage drives used by professional photographers.
This product could be a neat way to free up your limited SD card storage capacity. Every time your SD card fills up, you just upload its contents to the iPod via iWay and you can then erase your memory card for more photo shoots.
You can of course show off your photos via the iPod screen, but if your point-and-shoot already sports a 3-inch LCD you won’t care for that feature much anyway. You just want the iWay’s ability to upload directly to the iPod as a storage device.
But sadly, I won’t buy the iWay. Why? Its $70 price tag, is why. The price is just way too steep for the function it offers.
And oddly, the iWay works only with the iPod Video. Doesn’t work at all with the iPod Photo and iPod Nano. Darn.
