“International Symposium on Technologies for Digital Fulfillment†may have a grandiose twang to it, but it just really aims to have some down-to-earth discussions about digital cameras, photographs, and image processing to keep members abreast of the latest scientific and technological developments in the field of imaging. The symposium is being organized by the Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T) and it will be held in Las Vegas on March 3-5, 2007. While it’s broadly about the imaging technologies, the IS&T puts more emphasis on digital printing, color imaging, electronic imaging, photofinishing, image preservation, pre-press technologies, hybrid imaging systems, and silver halide.
There will be two full days of technical paper presentations, during which recent technological advances on imaging will be discussed. Carefully planned socials will provide opportunities for participants to interact with each other.
It’s also a trade show. A special session will give attendees the opportunity to make five minute presentations about their companies, technologies, and related activities.
