InvenSense to Demo Gyro-Based BlurFree Image Stabilization Technology at PMA 2007

InvenSense IDG-1000 Dual-Axis Gyroscope Microchip

InvenSense today said it will demonstrate its gyro-based BlurFree image stabilization technology with Zoran Corporation’s COACH image processor for digital cameras at the Photo Marketing Association PMA show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, at Zoran’s Tech Suite X122.

InvenSense’s BlurFree image stabilization technology eliminates unwanted blur caused by hand shake when taking pictures or video with digital cameras. It uses its IDG-1000 integrated dual-axis gyroscope to track the movement of the camera caused by the natural hand shake of the user.

The BlurFree technology running on Zoran’s COACH image processor converts the hand shake information in real time and synchronizes the information with the camera shutter and image sensor to select the best picture. Additional BlurFree techniques are used to remove other unwanted artifacts in the picture.
