Inkjet Printing Tips from PopPhoto.com

Because, at the moment, I could not get hold of Andrew Darlow’s book, 301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques, this article by PopPhoto.com’s Debbie Grossman is a godsend.

It details how a photographer might want to properly print an image using an inkjet printer, giving us instructions on how to make the most out of our camera, computer and printer. It’s all about doing a correctly color-managed workflow so that what you print perfectly matches what you see on screen.

Step 1: calibrate and profile your monitor. Then you can stop there, says Debbie if you want everything else to work on autopilot.

But if you want the whole nine yards, go on over to Debbie’s site and read up on how photographers should do it.
