Imaging Source Telescope Cameras Out There Now

Imaging Source Telescope Camera

In case you didn’t notice it the first time, Imaging Source is again making the announcement that their series of low cost, low noise telescope cameras are available now for amateur astro-photographers.

The Charlotte, NC-based company says that their highly affordable astro-cameras can record up to 60 minutes of exposure at 60 frames per second. You actually need a very powerful telescope to see what’s up in the sky, you attach the camera to the telescope and the camera records what the telescope sees.

Monochrome and color types are available with and without an IR cut filter in three resolutions: 640×480, 1024×768 and 1280×960. The cameras use low noise CCD chips from Sony, which have an exposure time of up to 60 minutes and a maximum frame rate of up to 60 fps.

The telescope cameras are available worldwide with prices that start at US $350 or €290 (excluding shipping and sales tax).
