HydroPak Portable Fuel Cell Power Generator to Debut at CES 2008

HydroPak Portable Fuel Cell Power Generator

The HydroPak portable power generator will be introduced at CES 2008 next week in Las Vegas, combining fuel cells from Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies Pte Ltd with Millennium Cell‘s Hydrogen on Demand storage technology to clean and quiet power.

They have completed a pre-production version of the fuel cell power generator which uses water to activate its cartridge system.

The announcement from both companies said the Hydropak is a high energy alternative to lead acid battery packs and portable generators. It can recharge a notebook PC 8 to 10 times and costs less than any similar fuel cell device.

The Hydropak is touted to have infinite shelf life and can run indoors with quiet operation and zero harmful emissions.

The HydroPak will be shown at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at the Las Vegas Convention Center in South 1, Booth #21850H from Jan. 7-10. The system will also be shown to the U.S. military at the Tactical Power Sources Summit 2008 at the Georgetown University Conference Center in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 29-30.
