HP has rolled out its Snapfish online photo service in Singapore. This is the first branch of the US-based service in Asia after it was acquired by HP in 2005.
Snapfish will offer localized service in Singapore. “We [will] localize the language, the look and feel of the site, the products that suit the market and the messaging,†says Bala Parthasarathy, vice president of Online Imaging at HP Imaging and Printing Group for Asia-Pacific and Japan. The prints are also made in Singapore.
Snapfish offers online photo printing targeted at women with children, as well as travelers and pet owners, with no constraints on storage, according to HP.
Snapfish Singapore offers prints at S$0.19 or US$0.13 apiece. A launch promo offers local residents 20 free prints when they sign up.
