HP released today three new additions to its Photosmart line of digital cameras, timing the announcement to coincide with today’s opening of PMA 2007 in Las Vegas.
The HP Photosmart R837, whose design is not typically HP, is a 7.2-megapixel compact featuring an internal zoom and a sliding front panel. It has a 3-inch LCD screen, 3x zoom and features the interesting “pet-eye fix†and a “slimming mode.â€
The HP Photosmart M537 is an entry-level digital camera with six megapixels, 2.5†display and – get this – 18x total zoom (3x optical, 6x digital). Hey, guys, we made a pact already, didn’t we? Digital zoom does not count anymore; it’s silly to headline it.
Lastly, the HP Photosmart M437 is a 5-megapixel number with 3x zoom and a 2.0†display. Easy buttons at the back and a friendly menu promises to make picture-taking a snap.
