Hitch: From Your Camera to Your iPod

Sima Hitch USB

Sima Products has announced their Hitch, a USB sharing accessory that gives digital camera and iPod users the freedom to share their files on the go, no PC required.

While it’s marketed as a file transfer device for the iPod for obvious marketing reasons, Hitch can actually transfer files between all devices that use the USB protocol: digital cameras, digital audio/video players, USB flash drives, etc. That means while you can now use your iPod as a photo bank for the pictures you took with your camera, you can also use it to transfer songs or movies from your Archos to your Creative Zen; it works iPod-to-iPod too. It has a small LCD screen so you can see what’s going on. Hitch can even charge your USB devices while in use.

The $100 device is compatible with many brands of USB devices, such as Apple, Creative, iRiver, Samsung, Sony, Canon, Nikon, Casio, Olympus, Panasonic, etc.
