Hasselblad Releases H3D-31 with $25,000 Price Tag

Hasselblad H3D-31 Camera

The Hasselblad H3D-31 sells for $25,000 and for its price alone it must be high-end, not to mention that it appears to be a very well made 31-megapixel camera. But calling it a digital SLR, as the Hasselblad company likes to call it, may be debatable.

Some would grumble, like PDNonline, who says that while it’s technically true that this camera is a single lens reflex, the same can be said of any medium format back the company ever made (as well as any current back/body system made by any other manufacturer.)

It appears however to be a magnificent work of engineering and craftsmanship worthy of the Hasselblad name, so instead of debating what to call it, we wish the company well as it launches its H3D-31, an addition to what the company calls their H3D DSLR camera system.
