Hartblei CAM Medium Format Camera for 35mm Lenses

Hartblei CAM

Forget stylish and sexy, the new Hartblei CAM is an industrial-grade, no-nonsense medium format camera with a 35mm lens mount for professional use. Its top shutter speed is 1/2000th of a second, with a motorized slider to move the back.

This one’s from German-Ukrainian specialist lens maker Hartblei; it can mount any digital or film medium format back up to 4.5x6cm and will be available in Canon EF, Nikon F or Sony Alpha mounts.

Combined with the built in Blade shutter which offers timings from B, 30sec to 1/2000sec, the Hartblei CAM offers usage of many lenses on the world market, whether it’s 35mm or MF. The company adds that for super wide angles, Hartblei CAM extends the range of the shortest available focal length down to 14mm (Image angle about 135 degrees with a Phase One p65+ Back). Hartblei claims many unavailable lenses for MF like large aperture super telephotos, Fisheyes or other lens specialties (Canon new TS 17+24mm) can now be used for high quality professional photography.

The camera is available immediately with a price tag of €4985 (about US$7300) net + shipping and taxes.
