Garden Photographer of the Year 2008 Competition

Garden Photographer of the Year 2008 Competition

Organizers of the Garden Photographer of the Year 2008 Competition in the UK say their prize money now exceeds £25,000 ($50,000) in cash and vouchers.

In addition to the main cash prizes of £5000 for Best Single Image and £5,000 (includes £2,000 Calumet vouchers), for The Best Portfolio, there is now a generous range of more than £10,000 worth of vouchers for products from the additional sponsorships of Manfrotto, Kata and Visible Dust.

The competition is open to everyone, amateurs and professionals alike. There are no restrictions on the type of camera you use, or the techniques you use to produce your final image. Your goal is to come up with a beautiful garden photo.

The top 100 winning and commended images will be shown at a purpose-built outdoor exhibition in Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, London from May to September 2008.

The GPOTY photo competition has 5 categories: Plant Portraits, Garden Views, My Garden, Life in the Garden and Trees. Entries close on January 31, 2008.
