GadgetTrak Offers to Track Lost Cameras, Stolen Images
There’s a free new service from GadgetTrak that offers to track lost cameras. It allows users to search online images that bear their cameras’s serial numbers.
The company said this service can assist in the recovery of stolen cameras, as well as copyright issues. GadgetTrak is also working with law enforcement agencies to see how it can be used to solve other serious crimes like child pornography.
This search project is still in beta, but the company said the service will always be free.
