Fujifilm Updates FinePix S5 Pro DSLR Firmware to v.1.06

Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro DSLR

Fujifilm has further updated its FinePix S5 Pro firmware to version 1.06, upgrading its barcode reading and its Function Lock menu.

The S5 pro digital SLR will now have a BCD (Barcode) Multi Read function in its Image Comment Menu. If this function is selected, the characters (in the EXIF tag) will not be overwritten but added continuously at each barcode reading. In this case, the user comment already typed in will be erased.

The Function Lock Menu will also now include Noise Reduction, Maintenance, Date/Time and File Tag Options.

If you missed the previous version 1.04 or did not apply it, the new firmware will also add better white balance when setting FLASH-mode for the WHITE BALANCE, and when setting AUTO-mode for WHITE BALANCE using Nikon non-CPU lenses.
